Be Bold

I love fashion.
Something that I have decided about fashion is that people can wear whatever they want.

Rule Number 1:
Don't put limits on your fashion.

People around me ask me for fashion advice, and usually they tend to give me a list of limits.
Something to remember is never to limit yourself.
Example:
If you feel like wearing something that is labeled as "dressy" just wear it. So many times people put labels on all categories of clothing. If you think that something is too dressy, just wear it. I think "dressy" as a negative label has become this way because people tell themselves that they have to look like they fit in. I have been to two fine dining restaurants in the past week and they both have had people dressed in everyday street clothing.

So, wear what you feel. When you are in a store, don't think about what you should be wearing, think about what you like.

Rule 2:
Always expand; always change.

It's funny, because many rules that apply to fashion also apply to life.
By always change, I do not mean succumb to trends, I mean to always expand your perspective. Grow.

Both of these "rules" (which isn't the greatest word to use, because I'm not trying to declare something to you) involve not having fear.
Don't allow yourself to fear:
-what other people think
-to try something new
-your inner voice leading you what to choose
-to flirt, to have confidence, to feel, and to EXPRESS

Why is this blog called Only Found in a Drawer?

I will uncover things that can only be found in a drawer.
Whether that will be ideas that society shoves into a drawer to never be seen again, or rarities of life, or things that people do not talk about, this is it.
